Hello there! I'm Terra, the proud owner of Learning to Leap Tutoring. My journey in education has been deeply influenced by my personal struggles with reading and spelling and my determination to create a different experience for my own children and future generations.

📖 Personal Journey:

Having personally experienced the challenges of dyslexia, I spent a significant part of my life navigating through the struggle of reading and maintaining the appearance of a capable student. The discovery of my own underlying difference came with a realization - I could have received help. This insight fueled my passion to ensure a different path for my children.

👩‍👧‍👦 Parenting Approach:

As a mother, I started reading to my children from the moment I learned about my pregnancy. Over the last 16 years, I've been an avid reader to my kids, fostering an environment where confidence and comfort around reading are nurtured. Witnessing the positive impact on my own children further fueled my commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

 

📚 Passion for Literacy:

In my quest for a meaningful career, I discovered the Barton Reading and Spelling System. The profound impact it has had on those struggling with reading and spelling resonated deeply with me. This discovery solidified my decision to work permanently in this field.
